Q: What types of services does Bluebonnet Counseling Center offer?

A: Bluebonnet Counseling Center specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a number of psychological conditions and mental health concerns. From the treatment of depression and anxiety to the diagnosis of learning disabilities in school-aged children, our team of trained professionals is dedicated to offering compassionate care for clients of all ages.

Q: What will my first appointment be like?

A: Taking the first step can be difficult sometimes. Our team aims to make clients feel comfortable through each step of the process. First, your clinician will call and introduce themselves to conduct a 15 minute consultation to explain the process. Sessions typically last fifty minutes and are currently conducted via a secure video chat in order to maintain social distancing.

Q: Is there something wrong with me?

A: Mental health conditions are common, and can become a source of pain and stress when left undiagnosed and untreated. Bluebonnet Counseling Center employs a team of caring health professionals to provide patients and their families with the assistance they need to overcome these mental health conditions with courage, strength, and determination.

Q: Does Bluebonnet Counseling Center accept insurance?

A: Yes, Bluebonnet Counseling Center currently accepts Texas Medicare, Texas Medicare private insurance, and fee-for-service options for psychological evaluations. Q: Does Bluebonnet Counseling Center prescribe medication?

A: No. Our counseling center specializes in psychological therapy as a form of treatment. Pharmaceutical treatment requires the prescription of a licensed psychiatrist.

Q: Are my counseling services confidential?

A: Yes, all therapy services are confidential as allowed by limits of the State of Texas. We utilize a HIPPA approved telehealth platform to serve clients during this unique time.

Q: How long does counseling take?

A: Treatment can vary vastly between patients. Many patients attend regular therapy sessions over months or years to improve their mental health, while some require only a few sessions to see significant improvement.
